Grow Hair Faster with Argan Oil

Grow Hair Faster with Argan Oil

Your hair is your crowning glory, or it can be when you use argan oil—the secret of beautiful women everywhere. Famous women known for their silky hair used argan oil. Going back to ancient times, it’s been rumored that Cleopatra used argan oil to cleanse and treat her hair. Would you like your hair to grow longer and faster? Read on to find out how.

What Causes Hair Loss?

All women (and men) dread hair loss. It happens for a variety of causes, but the root of the problem is unhealthy follicles. The follicles are where the hair grows beneath the scalp. If these hair follicles are unhealthy or die, they cease to produce hair in that shaft. This thins our hair and can lead to baldness. Unhealthy and dying hair follicles can be prevented in many cases by providing nourishment to the scalp. Sadly, many of the chemicals in commercial shampoos and conditioners contain ingredients that under-nourish the scalp and damage hair follicles. Avoid all of that when you switch to argan oil and other natural argan oil products.

How Does Hair Grow?

Hair strands grow in a three-stage cycle:

Stage 1: Anagen. This growing phase of hair development happens beneath the surface of the scalp, where you can’t see it.

Stage 2: Catagen. The catagen stage is when the follicle detaches from its base, and no longer grows hair. This stage only lasts about ten days.

Stage 3: Tellogen. This is when the hair that was attached to those old follicles begins to fall out since it’s no longer connected to the blood supply. This is often called a dormant stage, but new hairs are already beginning to grow during this stage. About 10-15% of your hair is in the Tellogen stage, which is why you always find stray hairs on your brush. Each follicle and strand of hair goes through the three stages at different times. Your hair is always in all stages of growth. Your hair never actually “stops” growing at any time, but there are things that can keep your hair from growing faster and healthy.

What Keeps Hair from Growing Fast?

The rate of hair growth that you experience is influenced by your genes, age, and how you take care of your hair. It’s also influenced by the season of the year. Hair grows faster in warmer months and slows down in cooler seasons. Although everyone has head hair growth of an average of half an inch a month per the CDC, that is relative to the factors mentioned previously.
In addition, your hair might be growing at that monthly rate, but if it’s breaking or you have split ends, your hair won’t get any longer. You lose the benefit of hair growth when you don’t take steps to prevent breakage and split ends.

How to Use Argan Oil for Faster Growing Hair

When it comes to using Moroccan oil to promote faster and healthier hair growth, you have many options

Leave-In Conditioner

Argan oil, sometimes called Moroccan oil, is quickly absorbed into the hair strands. This makes it an ideal leave-in conditioner. When you use argan oil, your hair will have fewer split ends and break less often due to heat and styling. There’s ample clinical evidence that argan oil promotes hair growth, but to get this benefit, be sure to thoroughly massage it into your scalp when you do the leave-in conditioning routine.
To do, use 1-3 drops of oil, which depends on the length and texture of your hair. Warm the oil by rubbing it briskly between your palms. Rake your fingers and palms over and through your hair. Pay special attention to your ends. Once the hair rub is complete, add another drop of oil to your fingertips and massage gently all over your scalp. Don’t waste excess oil on a towel. Instead, rub onto your face, neck and hands.

Overnight Conditioner

If you have dry, brittle hair, you need deeper conditioning. At least once a week, use Moroccan oil for overnight deep conditioning. Before bed, warm 4-10 drops in your palms. Saturate the hair and scalp. Protect bed linens by wearing a plastic shower cap. This will also add heat to the treatment and open the cuticles so the oil can be absorbed. In the morning, wash hair as normal and rinse clean.

Pre-Formulated Shampoo and Conditioner

You might be too busy to deep condition your hair, but you can still reap the benefits of argan oil by using pre-formulated shampoo and conditioner on your hair. These will save time in the bathroom, and still allow you to enjoy everything that argan oil can offer. Be sure to use only products that contain natural Moroccan oil along with botanicals and other hair beneficial ingredients, like jojoba, rosemary and thyme oils. To experience faster growth, it’s essential you don’t expose your hair to harsh chemicals that inhibit that growth.

These are all excellent ways to support faster hair growth. For best results, always choose natural, pure products and ingredients for your hair.
