Everyday anti-aging tips
Get More Rest
As we age, it’s important to know that lack of sleep affects us more deeply and shows up more prominently on our faces. Signs of this are dark circles and fine lines. A key ingredient in youthful skin is collagen and sleep actually induces the production of collagen. Also, the skin’s capacity to hold water is enhanced by sleep, which helps keep it moisturized and supple.

Exercise not only helps manage weight and improve muscle and bone strength, but it can also add a radiant, youthful glow to your skin. When it comes to anti-aging, exercise is crucial.  When you work out you are increasing blood flow, which helps nourish the skin cells. Debri in your skin, such as free radicals, are flushed out, giving your skin the cleanse it deserves. Live a healthy, active lifestyle and we promise you’ll feel young forever!

Drink Water
If you want proper anti-aging results you need to drink a lot of water. Like we mentioned before, your skin thrives off of water and loss of hydration can result in dryness, tightness, and flakiness. This is why water is essential to maintain skin’s moisture and is the starting point for delivering nutrients to the skin cells. Not drinking enough water a day can also result in conditions such as acne and eczema.

Reduce Sun Exposure
Anti-aging results subside when there is too much exposure to the sun. The medicals term used to describe the damage the sun inflicts on our skin is “photoaging.” If your skin is constantly exposed to sunlight without precautions, your skin loses its ability to repair itself. Also, UV exposure has been known to break down collagen and impair the form of new collagen. Without collagen’s support, our skin loses its strength and flexibility.

Manage Stress
Dealing with stress can have a negative effect not only on a person’s well-being, but also on their skin. If you have extreme anger, anxiety, depression, or tension, your body can respond with inflammation of the skin. Conditions related to this are itching, sensitivity, and numbness. Therapy, meditation, and yoga are all great ways to keep yourself happy and beautiful.
