Fun in the Snow
Just because the sun isn’t out, doesn’t mean you can’t still go outdoors and be active. With snow comes a lot of activities that will make you fall in love with the colder climate! Go to the local outdoor ice skating rink and try out your best Michelle Kwan moves on the ice. It’s a great workout for your legs and your core, as well as a great place to take a special someone on a date or the family out for some quality time. If ice skating is not your thing, take a trip to the snowy mountains and take up snowboarding or skiing. Even if you aren’t a big sporty person, there are plenty of instructors out there who would be happy to show you. Although you may be out in the cold, you’ll be sure to be breaking a sweat underneath all that gear. Or simply go out for a hike in the snow! Build a snowman, see all the trees covered in ice, and take in the fresh, winter air.
Whether you are a wiz in the kitchen or a beginner, winter is the perfect season to try out some new holiday recipes. With the chill of winter outside, some hot baked goods are the perfect way to heat up your home. Make some gingerbread or snickerdoodle cookies and decorate them with your favorite holiday frosting. Make a fresh batch of hot cocoa or peppermint tea and enjoy it by a fire or some holiday scented candles.
