Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin) helps reduce stress, boosts the immune system and aids with aches, pains and tension. This steam-distilled oil is believed to help one connect with their sensual nature.

Like frankincense and cinnamon, patchouli is a substance whose use dates back to 4500 BCE, even before Egyptian culture. It has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for healing, and because of its strength, has been one of the most popular scents in formulating perfumes. Patchouli is native to Southeast Asia. It was prized as one of the spices that made its way west with the trade routes.
