There is a high component of eugenol, which is considered to be irritating to skin and mucous membranes. Eugenol is also an anticoagulant.
Always dilute in carrier oil prior to using. Cinnamon Oil blends well with Pine Oil, Peppermint Oil, and all citrus oils. Dilute in carrier oil and massage on sore muscles for pain. Massage on abdomen to fight against parasites, or inhale diluted blend to reduce headache pain.
Shelf Life: When stored in a dark cool environment, Cinnamon Oil will have a shelf life of approximately two years upon opening.
Safety Information: Topical and aromatic use only. Do not use if you have a clotting disorder. Do not use if you have impaired liver function. Do not use in bath or aromatic diffusers. May irritate skin and mucous membranes. Use in low dilution rates of .7 percent when applying to the skin (5 drops or less in 1 oz. carrier oil). Do not use on children or when pregnant. Older, oxidized oil can increase the potential for skin irritation. Always test for skin sensitivity prior to use. Do not ingest orally and keep out of eyes, ears and nose. Excessive use of any oil can lead to sensitization.
